Struggling MI batter Rohit Sharma keeps on looking for runs in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. Rohit Sharma's dismal form continued in IPL 2025 as he was dismissed for 17 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday (April 7).
After missing the Mumbai Indians' previous game against the Lucknow Super Giants due to injury, fans were expecting a good recovery from the veteran Indian opener against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 20th game of the ongoing IPL 2025 in Mumbai.
Rohit flops again
Rohit started his innings off well, hitting two fours and a six. But soon after, Yash Dayal clean bowled him for 17 runs off 9 balls. His fast removal disappointed supporters once more, prompting fans and cricket analysts to criticize his continued struggles with the bat.
While Rohit once again failed with the bat, the five-time IPL champions suffered another setback this season, falling 12 runs short of the 222-run goal against the RCB at the Wankhede Stadium. MI has lost four of its five games in the competition.

Before this tight setback, Rohit drew notice for his antics on the field during the first innings at Wankhede Stadium. A video has gone viral on social media in which the Indian skipper loses his temper at the stadium DJ during Monday's IPL 2025 battle.
When a DJ team member called Rohit Sharma's name, the Hitman's demeanor instantly changed to that of an irate young guy, as he was seen screaming out to him while gesticulating towards the DJ in the stadium. Later, he was spotted mumbling something before pretending to bat on the boundary rope.

MCA may name the grandstand after Rohit Sharma
During a recent Apex Council meeting, the MCA discussed naming a stand after Rohit to honor his historic achievement as an Indian captain, which included leading the national team to victory in the T20 World Cup in 2024 and the Champions Trophy in 2025.
It is a remarkable feat that no other Mumbai player has accomplished as India's captain. Currently, the MCA has one unidentified grandstand located above the president's box at Wankhede Stadium, which might be dedicated to Rohit if the idea is accepted.
