Following India's victory over New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai, captain Rohit Sharma was present at the press conference. But when it came to forgetting things, Rohit excelled.
The top eight teams in the world compete in a brief event called the Champions Trophy. A single loss can have a significant impact on a team's chances in this fiercely competitive competition. The competition creates fiercely competitive games and is similar to a miniature World Cup.
Eight years later, the Champions Trophy was held. The last time it happened was in 2017 when Pakistan won the trophy after defeating India in the final at The Oval in London. But after winning it in Dubai, India was able to hold the trophy for the first time.
Rohit Sharma forgets to take trophy with him after press conference
While holding the trophy in front of him, Rohit Sharma answered questions from the media. He exited the room after the press conference, but he forgot to bring the trophy with him. Standing by Rohit's side, a support staff member returned the trophy to the squad.
The fact that Rohit Sharma has forgotten anything is not new. He has a lengthy history of forgetting different things. His teammates have disclosed in a number of interviews that he even forgets crucial paperwork like his iPad, headphones, and passport.

"Kitna wo lagta hai ye jeetne ke liye" - Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma discussed the significance of this victory during the same press conference. He asserted that while winning the Champions Trophy may not be the same as winning the World Cup, it is still not less.
"I had said earlier that the 50-over World Cup is like the real World Cup. But this trophy is no less. Kitna wo lagta hai ye jeetne ke liye (You ask me what it takes to win this trophy). A trophy is a trophy. You feel proud by winning any final," Rohit said.

India unbeaten in Champions Trophy 2025
This year, India participated in five Champions Trophy 2025 matches and won each one, which is a tremendous accomplishment in and of itself. They performed admirably under duress and responded brilliantly despite being put to the test.
They won all three of their matches against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand to finish the group stage first. Later, in the semi-final and final, respectively, the Men in Blue triumphed over Australia and New Zealand.
