Tim David, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter, was seen in an angry scuffle with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Ravindra Jadeja and Dewald Brevis during their IPL 2025 match on Saturday, May 3, at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium, amid the DRS controversy.
Shortly after Ayush Mhatre's outstanding 94-run knock ended, Dewald Brevis walked out to bat in the 17th over of the Chennai Super Kings' 214-run chase. Brevis was hit on the pads on his first ball, which was delivered by Lungi Ngidi. The umpire promptly declared him out LBW.
When the umpire raised his finger, Brevis and Ravindra Jadeja attempted to sneak a run even though the ball was dead, but uncertainty was increased by a direct hit at the non-striker's end. After that, Brevis turned to Jadeja to discuss getting a review.

Brevis was unaware of the DRS timer, though, because it was not displayed on the large screen. The umpire informed the South African star that the 15-second timeframe had passed by the time he made the decision to go for the review.
Despite a heated argument between Jadeja and the match officials, the ruling was final. Without a review, Brevis was forced to go back for a duck. Replays quickly revealed that the ball would have missed the target, which made matters worse for CSK.
A video of RCB star Tim David and Ravindra Jadeja having a lively conversation after the CSK all-rounder yelled at the on-field umpire is currently making the rounds on social media. Tim David was heard speaking even during Jadeja's argument with the umpire.
It appeared that Tim David was attempting to persuade Ravindra Jadeja to accept the umpire's verdict. Brevis left the field after an intense conversation between the CSK all-rounder and the RCB star.
