Virat Kohli's decision to have his heartbeat monitored while batting during Sunday's IPL 2025 match between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Jaipur alarmed the supporters.
With an undefeated 62 runs against the Royals, Kohli once again showed his batting prowess. His knock included two sixes and four fours off forty-five balls.
With Phil Salt and Virat Kohli scoring 92 runs for the first wicket in less than nine overs, RCB got off to a fast start after RR finished at 173/4.
Before Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal combined with an undefeated 83-run partnership to lead their team home, Salt left after scoring 65 runs.
RCB defeated RR by 9 wickets as the Bengaluru-based franchise continued their good performance outside their home turf.
As the first Indian batsman to reach 100 half-centuries in T20 cricket, Kohli also made history during the knock.
The only person now ahead of him on the list is David Warner of Australia. Warner has hit 108 so far, despite having 100 fifties in the game's shortest format.
Virat Kohli’s fitness is in question after getting heart heartbeat checked by Sanju Samson
When Virat Kohli chose to have his heartbeat monitored while batting in the just-finished IPL 2025 match between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the fans became concerned.
When Virat Kohli was facing Wanindu Hasaranga in the fifteenth over, the incident occurred. He took a double after flicking one into the deep midwicket on the fourth ball of the over. After the next delivery was perfect, Kohli asked Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals and an India teammate, to check his heartbeat.
"Heartbeat check karna. (Check my heartbeat)," Kohli was heard saying on the stump mic. In reply, Sanju Samson said, “Theek hai. (It's okay).” After the competition of the 15th over, Virat Kohli and RCB decided to take the strategic time-out to recover and catch their breath.

Given that Virat Kohli has no history of cardiac problems, such on-field incidents undoubtedly arouse early worries. After that occurrence, he appeared fine and completed the game. He spent seventy-four minutes in the middle.
RR vs RCB played in dry heat
On Sunday, Jaipur was overheated, with temperatures reaching as high as 42 degrees. When Kohli was batting, the conditions in Jaipur were quite difficult. Kohli concentrated more on taking singles and doubles despite the harsh weather.
In addition to hitting four fours and two sixes, he ran 26 singles and four doubles. Thankfully, the condition wasn't too bad because Kohli kept batting and led RCB to victory.
