Virat Kohli, the star India batter, was seen pumped up and shouting in the ear of the head coach Gautam Gambhir as Hardik Pandya rained sixes during the India v Australia semi-final match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

India defeated Australia by 4 wickets in Dubai and have qualified for their fifth ICC Champions Trophy final, and third in a row after 2013 and 2017.

After winning the toss, Australia decided to bat first and set a target of 265 runs. Steve Smith scored 73 runs, while Alex Carey made 61 runs. Mohammed Shami took 3 wickets for India, while Ravindra Jadeja and CV Varun took two scalps each.

India’s chase was anchored by Virat Kohli, who played a crucial knock of 84 runs. Shreyas Iyer added 45, while KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 42 against Australia in the semifinal.

With a blazing 28-run cameo that featured three potent sixes, Hardik Pandya added the final touch. The team's morale was raised when he hit Zampa with two consecutive huge sixes. Hardik wasted little time as the Australian leg-spinner pitched it full in the slot on the final ball of the 47th over.

Gautam Gambhir was seen getting up from his chair to search for the ball in the stands after Pandya intervened and fired it far over long-off, sending it soaring into the stands for a huge six.

Adam Zampa went full once more in the very next ball, but Hardik was prepared. He bowed his back leg, cleared his front leg, and slammed a terrible blow into the floor.

The whole dressing room exploded in excitement as the ball flew 101 meters into the stands, and he didn't even glance at its landing spot. Even the coach was seen celebrating the occasion as Virat Kohli lost control of his emotions and roared in Gautam Gambhir's ear.

Now, India will face the winner of the second semifinal between South Africa and New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai on March 9. South Africa and New Zealand will battle it out for the final spot on March 5 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
