The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter, Virat Kohli, had a hilarious exchange with the Punjab Kings (PBKS) left-arm spinner, Harpreet Brar, during the contest between the two sides at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Kohli spoke a few words with Brar in the Punjabi language when the latter was standing on his bowling mark and was about to bowl. The Kings were trying their best to defend the score against Bengaluru.

Even after their victory, Kohli led a wild celebration at Shreyas Iyer, the opponent captain, before getting engaged in a heated conversation with the Indian middle-order batter. They were aiming to take revenge for the defeat the evening before, against the same side at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The official broadcasters, Star Sports, played a clip in which the stump mic caught the words where the Delhi-born fired at Brar.
Kohli shares Punjabi roots and was seen threatening the left-arm spinner in the language. He remarked that he had been playing the game for 20 years and even knew his coach. Brar was smiling at the comments and gave a reply that was not properly audible on the stump microphone.
“20 saal hogaye, twade coach ko bhi janta mai. (It has been nearly 20 years, and I even know your coach.” Kohli addressed.

Virat Kohli celebrates 73* to carry RCB over the winning line
Losing Phil Salt on the last ball of the opening over was a huge blow for the side, but Devdutt Padikkal was excellent in the powerplay to release the pressure of the team and Virat Kohli with some aggressive shots from the very first ball.
The southpaw used Arshdeep Singh’s pace to ramp him over the wicket-keeper’s head for a four before clearing the long-off ropes by lofting the ball straight back through the line. He used his feet to thump Brar through point for another boundary before lofting back the flighted delivery over the long-on region for a six.
The Karnataka batter celebrated his half-century in just 30 balls, with another six over the deep backward square leg against Yuzvendra Chahal. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, kept on taking the singles and doubles to celebrate his 59th fifty in IPL history.
He has now gone past David Warner with the most half-centuries in the event, along with eight centuries. The veteran, after the dismissal of Padikkal on 61 runs in 35 balls, remained unbeaten on 73 runs in 54 balls at a strike rate of seven boundaries and one six at a strike rate of 135.19.
“One partnership is good enough in T20 cricket during the run chase. I can accelerate, but I want to understand the strength of the other players. Holding one end up at the moment, that’s working for us.” Virat Kohli addressed at the end of the clash.
