During Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) IPL 2025 loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag made fun of MS Dhoni's dismissal. Dhoni could not have salvaged the five-time winners, according to Virender Sehwag, who also said that the game might have gone to 11:30.
On Friday, April 11, Chennai Super Kings lost to Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets in the 25th game played at Chepauk Stadium. When Ruturaj Gaikwad was injured, MS Dhoni came back to head the team. Following Impact Player Deepak Hooda and Ravichandran Ashwin, Dhoni batted at number nine.
Before getting removed LBW by Sunil Narine in the sixteenth over, MS Dhoni managed just one run off of four balls. There was a discussion regarding whether he ought to have batted earlier because he came in at number nine. Throughout the innings, CSK consistently lost wickets and failed to build any momentum.
