Yuzvendra Chahal And Dhanashree Verma To Finalize Divorce; To Appear Before Court- Report

India’s leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, who is a choreographer and influencer, have reportedly finalized their divorce and will appear before the court at around 4 in the afternoon on Friday (February 21).
The ABP News has claimed that both Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal have been summoned before the family court in Bandra, Mumbai, where they will complete the final proceedings after they earn their official divorce certificate.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma share a cryptic message
There were rumors of their divorce for a long time. There was no social media confirmation from either the spinner or the influencer as the news circulated for the last few weeks.

The outrage started to grow and went viral when the duo decided to unfollow each other on Instagram, and joint activity was limited. Both celebrities took to their Instagram and shared cryptic messages on their respective stories on February 20.
“God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I’ve been rescued that I don’t even know about. Thank you, god, for always being there even when I don’t know it. Amen.” Yuzvendra Chahal wrote on his Instagram story.
Verma reckoned that she had a stressful time in the last couple of years, but she is happy about how God has turned her worries and trials into blessings.
“From stressed to blessed. Isn’t amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you’re stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying or you can surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything. There is power in having faith that God can work all things together for your good.” Dhanashree penned down.
Yuzvendra Chahal’s brilliance in white-ball formats
It’s always hard to break into the Indian side once a player gets out of it, and it’s the same case with the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. The Haryana spinner is still the blue brigade’s one of the successful white-ball spinner.
In 69 ODI innings, he has claimed 121 wickets at an average of 27.13 and a strike rate of 30.9, thanks to a couple of five-wicket hauls and five four-wicket hauls at the best bowling figure of 6/42 in an innings.
In the 79 innings of the shortest format, Chahal has collected 96 wickets at an average of just over 25 and a strike rate of 18.3, besides an economy rate of 8.19, thanks to one five-wicket and two four-wicket hauls.
When it comes to the T20s, Yuzvendra Chahal is the 12th leading wicket-taker with 364 scalps in 309 innings at an average of 23.42 and a strike rate of 18.3.
Yuzvendra Chahal aims better IPL 2025 performance
Despite starting his IPL career quite late in 2013, Yuzvendra Chahal has become the top wicket-taker in the league with 205 scalps in 159 innings at an average of 22.44 and a strike rate of 17.17 and an economy rate of 7.84, with one five-wicket hauls and six four-wicket hauls.

He had a great time in the last three seasons for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) but will move to shift his base to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) for a price of INR 18 crore as he will work under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer and coach, Ricky Ponting.
A better performance in the league may see him getting back into the national side for the 2026 T20 World Cup, which will take place in India and Sri Lanka.
