Delhi Capitals (DC) can arrange and divide IPL 2025 into two halves. They started the tournament with five victories in the first six group-stage encounters of the competition, including the super-over win against the Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

However, things have changed in the last half of the competition, with just one win coming in the next five fixtures of the event. Most of these have come at home, where their bowling department hasn’t underperformed in various periods of the game.

Delhi Capitals are currently at the fifth position in the points table with six victories in 12 group-stage encounters at a net run rate of +0.260. A win over the Mumbai Indians will keep them in the competition, while a defeat or a washout result will either end the campaign or make it incredibly hard for the side.

KL Rahul batted well in the previous game at home for his century, but not picking up a single wicket in the defense against the Gujarat Titans increased pressure on the side. They are already missing some of their overseas stars, including the premier fast bowler Mitchell Starc, the two batters- Jake Fraser McGurk and Donovan Ferrara.

Here are 3 Indian players from Delhi Capitals who can make their International debut after IPL 2025

1. Abhishek Porel

The left-handed wicket-keeper batter for the Delhi Capitals has impressed the management and many with his aggressive batting performances. In just 47 T20 innings, the southpaw smashed 1251 runs at an average of 30.51 and a strike rate of 152.18, thanks to eight half-centuries at the best scores of 81 runs.

Delhi Capitals showed belief in the batter before the mega auction of the IPL 2025, where they retained the uncapped batter for a price of INR 4 crore. In this season, Porel has cracked 295 runs in 12 innings at an average of 26.81 and a strike rate of 150.51 with one fifty.

If he could hold the same show in the future, then it won’t be late before he makes his debut for India after this IPL 2025. However, last year, he also smacked 327 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of 160, with two fifties.

2. Ashutosh Sharma

It was the previous edition of the tournament when Ashutosh Sharma came into the scene with his aggressive batting performance. In nine innings of the IPL 2024, the right-handed batter, plying for the Punjab Kings, smashed 189 runs at a strike rate of 167.25, thanks to one half-century at the best score of 61 runs.

Ashutosh has bettered the numbers with 186 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 167.56, shouldering the best score of 66*, which he celebrated against the Lucknow Super Giants in the very first game of the competition.

He is a fine lower-order batter, and the Delhi Capitals’ batter could go on to make his debut after the IPL 2025.

3. Vipraj Nigam

The 20-year-old Vipraj Nigam, the Delhi Capitals’ leg-spinner, has done a very good job for the franchise in this IPL 2025. In 11 innings, the spinner has celebrated eight wickets at an economy rate of 9.45 with the best bowling figure of 2/18 in an innings.

Nigam has also contributed 122 runs with the bat in seven innings at an average of 20.33 and a strike rate of 179.41. That’s an advantage to have for any side at number eight or nine in the department.
