Rajasthan Royals (RR) decided to go for most of the young players rather than the experienced ones in the retention of IPL 2025. They began the event with two wins in the first four clashes, before facing five successive defeats.
Out of many losses, Rajasthan fumbled in the chases during the death overs. Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer couldn’t provide the aggression in the batting in the last five overs of the innings. After their one victory over the Gujarat Titans (GT), the inaugural champions went through three consecutive defeats in the game.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, their opening member of the side, is the third leading run-getter in the RR side. He smashed 523 runs in 13 innings at an average of 43.58 and a strike rate of 158, thanks to six half-centuries at the best score of 75 runs.
Against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), they will play their last game of the event at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and will love to carry most of the positives for the next edition.
Riyan Parag has also contributed 390 runs this year at a strike rate of 168.10, while their opener, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, drilled 195 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 219.10.
