Delhi Capitals will be the most disappointed franchise after the end of the group stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. They can divide the campaign into two parts in terms of success in the first half of the edition and failure in the second half of the tournament.
When the management shouldered the responsibility on the left-arm spin all-rounder, Axar Patel, many addressed it as the wrong decision, especially in the presence of the Indian wicket-keeper batter, KL Rahul. Jake Fraser-McGurk was excellent last season in the opening position.
Delhi made some incredible buys in the mega auction of the event. Few of them worked out. Faf du Plessis missed a huge part of the campaign due to his injury, while Axar’s batting and bowling contributions were not enough during this season.
