Delhi Capitals To Play Two Home IPL 2025 Games At This Venue Outside Arun Jaitley Stadium

The tension and excitement are growing by leaps and bounds for the most awaited final squad of the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the Delhi Capitals (DC) have almost confirmed their two games outside their home venue.
The Delhi Capitals have enjoyed their time in the IPL at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. In the past, the ground used to help the spinners in low-scoring encounters, but last year, most of the scores crossed the 200-run mark, making it a graveyard for the bowlers.
Delhi Capitals to host two home games of IPL 2025 in Vizag
Even though the BCCI has not confirmed the schedule, it has now emerged that Visakhapatnam (Vizag) will host a couple of games for Delhi Capitals in the 18th edition of the 20-over league. It also staged two games against the Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders as the BCCI has retained the Andhra Pradesh city as an IPL center for the upcoming season as well.

Visakhapatnam will remain the second home for the 2020 runners-up. The exact dates and opponents for the matches are still not known, but it’s certain that the Delhi side, under the management of the GMR group, will kick off their campaign at the VDCA stadium in the coastal city.
The reports also claimed that the BCCI could announce the entire schedule of the tournament on February 17 (Monday).
Visakhapatnam has become one of the three non-playing centers for the IPL 2025 seas. Guwahati will host a couple of games against CSK and KKR for the Rajasthan Royals as their second home game on March 26 and 30.
The Himachal Hill Station will also be the second home center for the Punjab Kings, who are going into the new season with their new captain Shreyas Iyer, and coach Ricky Ponting. The three games could be against Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Delhi Capitals is yet to announce a new captain for IPL 2025
Delhi Capitals is one of the two teams with KKR. Both are yet to declare the new leader for the 2025 edition. Rishabh Pant captained the side in the previous three editions, but the Indian wicket-keeper batter has changed his base to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
The southpaw was in tremendous touch in the last season with the help of 446 runs in 13 innings at an average of 40.53 and a strike rate of 155.40, thanks to three half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 88 runs.
The best possible option for the Delhi Capitals management as their new leader could be the left-arm spin all-rounder Axar Patel, who is the front-runner for the post after Delhi retained him for the new season. KL Rahul, whom the franchise bought in the mega auction, will be another choice.

The right-handed batter clubbed 520 runs last year in 14 innings at an average of 37.14 and a strike rate of around 136, shouldering on four fifties. His vast experience of leading Punjab and Lucknow in the past will also push him for the spot.
IPL 2025 final at the Eden Gardens
The opening game of the IPL 2025 will be between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. The ground will host the second qualifier and the final of the event.
