IPL 2025: KKR vs SRH Preview- Match 15

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), after a tough defeat against the Mumbai Indians in the previous contest at the Wankhede Stadium, hope to be back on winning track against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 15th clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The KKR vs SRH fixture will be on April 03, 2025, at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Ajinkya Rahane’s army had a tough start to the campaign, posting a low total against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the opening game of the season. Their poor bowling line-up was not able to put much pressure on the Rajat-led side, as many questioned the nature of the surface.

However, the defending champions made a strong comeback against the Rajasthan Royals at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati when opener Quinton de Kock’s incredible, undefeated knock saw them over the line. But they again faced another massive loss against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium to drop down to the bottom of the points table.

Before the KKR vs SRH fixture, the Knight Riders will look to aim not only for a victory but also by a huge margin to improve their damaged net run rate.

For the Sunrisers Hyderabad, it appears to be a battle with themselves. They began the event posting 280+ on the board against the Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, but still, a 40-odd run win in the clash put fingers on their bowling department.

Their next two clashes against Lucknow and Delhi were examples of trying to stand on the predictions and expectations of the fans.

Many anticipated the Pat Cummins-led side to cross the 300-run mark in the first innings against Lucknow, but they kept on losing wickets regularly throughout the innings. The same issue continued against Delhi in the afternoon fixture to get down to number eight with an NRR of -0.771.

The KKR vs SRH clash will be an acid test for the Hyderabad batters to put a price on their wicket and not let the side down in crunch situations.
