After a week or so of suspension, the IPL 2025 is ready to resume. In addition to the league's second phase starting on May 17, the tournament's final has been postponed by nine days to June 3.
Tensions between India and Pakistan forced the suspension of the IPL 2025, which was proceeding without incident. The situation became so dire that the Punjab Kings vs. Delhi Capitals match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala was called off in the middle of the match.
IPL 2025 revised schedule
However, as soon as things cooled off between India and Pakistan, the BCCI immediately announced the schedule for the resumption of the IPL 2025’s remaining 17 games. The IPL 18 will resume on May 17, and the final of the tournament will be held on June 3.
Revised schedule of the tournament will have two double headers as well. The BCCI doesn't want to take any extra chances, thus, the remaining IPL matches will be spread among six locations. Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad will host the tournament's last 17 matches.
Qualifier 1 will begin the tournament's playoffs on May 29, and the Eliminator will follow on May 30. The summit clash has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 3rd, with the second qualifier set for June 1st.
Ahmedabad to host the final of IPL 2025; Mumbai set to host the playoffs
However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated that they would make an official announcement regarding the playoff venues shortly. The governing body has already selected the locations for the knockout stage, according to reports in the Times of India.
The IPL 2025 final is scheduled to take place at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, according to reports. The qualifiers and eliminator, however, will be held at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

However, sources in the Indian Express explained why the subsequent matches in Chennai and Hyderabad were not hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It has been discovered that the choice was made by the regulatory body while taking into account the weather in both places.
Okay. So many are asking why no matches in Chennai and Hyderabad. I’m told it is to do with the weather forecast. The BCCI seems to know something which the Chennai MET centre hasn’t warned us about.

RCB vs KKR to kick off proceedings
Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders will square off in Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium to kick off the IPL. The Gujarat Titans are at the top of the table, with the Rajat Patidar-led team at number two.
Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians are in fourth and fifth position, respectively, behind the third-place Punjab Kings. Which of these teams will finish in the top four is still up in the air.
