The Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face each other in the eleventh encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The RR vs CSK clash will take place on March 30, 2025, at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Chennai comes into the game after the first two clashes against the Mumbai Indians and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at home. This will also be their first away fixture of the season and provide them with an opportunity to continue the good work of the first game.
The last game at this venue between the Royals and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was an example of how the pitches would offer spin off the surface. Chennai may look to take the same advantage, thanks to their three quality spinners- Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Noor Ahmed. They want to enjoy the same pitch in the RR vs CSK encounter.

Rajasthan, in the IPL 2025, started with a very poor performance against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who clubbed 286/6 in their allotted 20 overs. None of the Royals’ bowlers could stand tall against the Hyderabad batters, as their premier pacer, Jofra Archer, registered the worst bowling figures of 0/76 in four overs of the Indian Premier League.
The inaugural champions of the tournament displayed a better batting show as they put 242/6 on the board in the second innings, thanks to Sanju Samson’s fine knock of 66 runs in 37 balls, while the wicket-keeper batter, Dhruv Jurel managed 70 runs in 35 balls, shouldering on five boundaries and six over boundaries.
It was a different situation in Guwahati against the Kolkata Knight Riders, who restricted the Royals’ batting department to just 151 runs on the board. The stand-in captain, Riyan Parag, nailed 25 runs in 15 balls, thanks to three sixes.
Jurel managed 33 runs in 28 balls, but none of the batters could stand tall in the middle. They kept on losing wickets regularly. In the RR vs CSK fixture, they want to display a far better performance in the batting department, as questions will be raised on the quality of Indian batters, whom they retained for the new edition of the tournament.

Rajasthan Royals, after two successive defeats, want to open their account with a victory. If they lose this game, then it would be incredibly hard for them to make a comeback in the competition. It will also be the last group-stage game where Parag may potentially lead the side as Samson waits to get his fitness report from the National Cricket Academy.
For the Chennai Super Kings, the slow and low anticipated conditions will be helpful for the players. Jadeja, Noor, and Ashwin will want to put pressure on the Rajasthan batters during the RR vs CSK encounter.
