Justin Langer, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) head coach, might be on his way out after the franchise was eliminated from the IPL 2025 tournament. This happened when LSG lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Lucknow on May 19.
Pat Cummins, the captain of SRH, chose to bowl first after winning the toss. The LSG openers scored 115 runs in 10.3 overs, with Mitchell Marsh scoring 65 in 39 balls and Aiden Markram scoring 61 in 38 balls.

As LSG reached 205/7 in 20 overs, Nicholas Pooran was the second-highest scorer with 45 runs. Abhishek Sharma cleared the path for SRH with a scorching 59 in 20 balls, six sixes, and four fours.
The SRH won by six wickets thanks to Heinrich Klaasen (47), Ishan Kishan (35), and Kamindu Mendis (32). With this loss, LSG’s chances of making it into the final four of the IPL 2025 ended.

According to sources who spoke to CricBlogger, former Australian cricket player Justin Langer would not be heading the Lucknow Super Giants starting in the upcoming season.
On the advice of Indian team coach Gautam Gambhir, Langer was brought on board, although he has had trouble establishing a rapport with the LSG lineup, especially with former India bowler and team coach Zaheer Khan.
Insiders claim that the two have not had a cordial working relationship, which has caused increasing unease in the team atmosphere. resulting in subpar performance and elimination from the playoffs.
Additionally, according to sources, Justin Langer has not interacted much with LSG's best players, while former India pacer Zaheer Khan has taken on a greater role in managing the team's daily operations.
