KL Rahul To Be Picked In India T20 Squad

KL Rahul, after making an impression with the bat in the current IPL 2025, is going to be given another chance to play in T20Is. In the 18th season of the IPL, the right-handed batsman is playing for the Delhi Capitals.

Following KL Rahul's outstanding century for the Delhi Capitals against the Gujarat Titans, reports have surfaced. The wicketkeeper-batsman was instructed to begin the innings against the Titans after having batted in the middle order in the previous games, and he provided a spectacular knock to support the decision.

Rahul has been in phenomenal form in IPL 2025

KL scored an undefeated 112 runs. There were four sixes and fourteen fours throughout KL Rahul's innings. The Karnataka player appeared to have good batsmanship even before his century.

Before hammering an undefeated 93 against his old team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he played a 77-run knock against Chennai Super Kings.

Rahul, in the match against the Lucknow Super Giants, also scored fifty. He is the Delhi Capitals' top run scorer right now. Rahul has amassed 493 runs in 11 games thus far, including three fifties and a century.

KL Rahul set to be back in the Indian T20I team for the Bangladesh tour

The BCCI selectors are allegedly planning to recall KL Rahul to the India T20I team after he once again demonstrated his class in the game's shortest format. The right-handed batsman is expected to feature in the T20I series against Bangladesh later this year, according to a Times of India article.

In August of this year, India will travel to Bangladesh for three One-Day Internationals and as many Twenty20 Internationals. For over two years, Rahul has not participated in a Twenty20 International match for Team India.

Rahul's T20I career was hanging

The selectors have not given him a lifeline in T20Is, even though he has continued to be an important element of the Test and ODI sides during this phase.

The 2022 T20 World Cup was Rahul's final Twenty20 International match for Team India. Since the Adelaide Oval semifinal defeat to England, Rahul has not participated in a Twenty20 International.

Rahul has so far amassed 2265 runs in 72 Twenty20 Internationals for India, including two hundreds and twenty-two fifties.
