Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Ajinkya Rahane has refused to talk further about the Eden Gardens’ pitch controversy. He stated that the curator, Sujan Mukherjee, has gotten enough publicity, and he enjoyed his time in fame, but the KKR captain doesn’t want to give more ammo.
In a dramatic game in Kolkata, KKR succumbed to LSG by 4 runs. KKR played a poor game, allowing LSG to score 238/3 after bowling first. They put up a good fight while chasing the target, but they were limited to 234/7.
Rahane had demanded a Bit of Turn
The surfaces used for KKR's home games at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata have been the subject of intense debate. The management of the club was not pleased with Eden Gardens curator Sujan Mukherjee's refusal to supply a pitch that would help their spinners following their loss to RCB.
After that, there was a verbal altercation between the curator and the KKR team management, and a number of cricket experts suggested that KKR change their home field if they were not receiving the pitch they had requested.

After Mukherjee consented to speak with Team KKR, KKR was given a spin-friendly course for the game against SRH. However, their request for a used surface for the LSG match was turned down, according to a RevSportz article.
Ajinkya Rahane voiced his displeasure with the pitch's failure to assist the spinners during the news conference held after the game. "I would take the matter to the Indian Premier League governing council instead of speaking about it in the media," he remarked bluntly, adding that the curator of the Kolkata pitch enjoys notoriety.
Rahane threatens to poke BCCI
"There has been enough talk about the wicket. You guys have spoken about it a lot. If I say something now, then the furor will erupt. Our curator has gotten a lot of publicity. I think he is happy with that publicity.
You can write anything you want to about the home advantage. If I have to say anything about the home advantage, I'll probably speak to the governing council or the concerned authorities rather than to speak here,” Ajinkya Rahane said in a post-match conference.
