Delhi Capitals (DC) spinner Kuldeep Yadav was seen bullying his UP teammate Rinku Singh, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after their recent IPL 2025 match in Delhi. During the post-match encounter, Kuldeep gave Rinku two slaps, leaving many spectators perplexed and generating conflicting responses on social media.

Fans were reminded of the notorious "slapgate" episode from the 2008 Indian Premier League. Kings XI Punjab pacer S Sreesanth was slapped by Mumbai Indians spinner Harbhajan Singh. On live television, the pacer, who was born in Kerala, started crying. The BCCI responded by suspending Harbhajan for 11 games.

Kuldeep Yadav controversially slaps Rinku Singh; video goes viral

Rinku Singh and Kuldeep Yadav were having a friendly conversation after the game. After Kuldeep gave Rinku a face slap, the group burst out laughing. The Kolkata Knight Riders batter, however, appeared uneasy and spoke with Kuldeep briefly when the spinner performed the same deed a short while later.

Several fans expressed their disapproval of Kuldeep's actions in the incident, which went viral on social media. At first, the situation appeared to be lighthearted, but Rinku's response during the second slap revealed that he was not totally amused, which sparked discussion about whether the behavior went too far online.

Even though Rajeev Shukla, the vice president of the BCCI, was there, Kuldeep Yadav struck Rinku Singh twice.

Here are the videos:

During the game against the Delhi Capitals, Rinku Singh's modest IPL 2025 batting run continued. In ten games, he has amassed 169 runs with a strike rate of 145.68 and an average of 33.80.

However, Kuldeep did not take any wickets throughout the game and currently has 12 IPL 2025 wickets from 10 games.

KKR and DC franchises clear the air about Kuldeep Yadav slapping Rinku Singh

As supporters of Rinku and Kuldeep responded to the slapping incident, it became viral on social media. The fact that a seasoned cricket player like Kuldeep could harm a younger player like Rinku in this way infuriated many.

However, following a great deal of conjecture on social media, Kuldeep Yadav's and Rinku Singh's respective teams posted to deny the allegations of a falling out between the two cricketers.
