Amid IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has made a daring statement. For the remainder of the season, Ravichandran Ashwin’s YouTube channel has put out a statement that they will not post any Chennai Super Kings-related content on the channel for the rest of the IPL 2025.
After a controversy broke out after one of the Chennai Super Kings' games in the current IPL 2025, the former Indian all-rounder made an audacious decision.
The choice of Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad over Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja was actually questioned by former South African analyst Prasanna Agoram in a video that was uploaded to Ashwin's channel.
Prasanna Agoram's controversy about Noor Ahmad
Last week, there was controversy when Prasanna Agoram, a frequent viewer of the channel and a former data analyst for South Africa and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), criticized CSK for selecting Afghanistan wrist spinner Noor Ahmad even though Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were in the team.
The squad could have been better served by selecting a different batter rather than a third spinner, according to Agoram.
After receiving harsh criticism on social media after CSK lost for the third time in a row, the video was removed. This includes Delhi Capitals' (DC) first home loss since 2010 and RCB's first home loss since 2008. With 10 wickets from 4 games, Noor Ahmad now holds the Purple Cap, while Ashwin and Jadeja have a combined total of 4.
Ravichandran Ashwin’s YouTube channel to not discuss CSK game going forward
After receiving harsh criticism on social media after CSK lost for the third time in a row, the video was removed. This includes Delhi Capitals' (DC) first home loss since 2010 and RCB's first home loss since 2008. With two points from their first four games, CSK is now ranked ninth in the standings.
Ashwin has now stated unequivocally that he will avoid talking about or analyzing the Chennai Super Kings for the remainder of the 2025 Indian Premier League.
"Given the nature of the discussions on this forum over the last week, we want to be mindful of how things can be interpreted and have chosen to step away from covering CSK games, both previews and reviews, for the rest of this season.
We value the diversity of perspectives that come through on our shows and remain committed to ensuring the conversation stays true to the integrity and purpose of the platform we've established. The views expressed by our guests do not reflect Ashwin's personal opinions,” Ashwin’s YouTube admin stated.

CSK in a lot of trouble in IPL 2025
Instead of sticking to their regular selection plan, CSK has rotated through 17 players after four games, including all seven of the abroad alternatives.
The role of MS Dhoni has also generated a lot of discussion, particularly about his batting strategy and, in certain situations, such as during the match against RCB, his batting position.
