In international cricket, there have been so many aggressive batters over the years who have used their power to bash the sixes to entertain the spectators in the stadium.

Here are the top 10 batsmen with the most sixes in international cricket

1. Rohit Sharma (India)

The Indian ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, stands at the top with the most sixes across formats. In 532 innings, the right-handed batter has smashed 637-over sixes to accumulate 19700 runs at a strike rate of 87.26.

2. Chris Gayle (West Indies)

The left-handed aggressive batter Chris Gayle was always expected to make the list of the most sixes in international cricket. There is no list of over boundaries without the southpaw, who has drilled 553 sixes in 551 innings to collect 19593 runs.

3. Shahid Afridi (Pakistan)

The former Pakistani all-rounder, Shahid Afridi, is third on the list of most over boundaries with 476 over boundaries in 508 innings and has smashed 11196 runs at a strike rate of 114.14 with an average of below 25.

4. Brendon McCullum (New Zealand)

The former Kiwi captain, Brendon McCullum, is fourth on the list of most sixes across the three formats. McCullum, who changed the dynamics of the game for New Zealand cricket, especially during the 2015 ODI World Cup, nailed 398 sixes in 474 innings.

5. Martin Guptill (New Zealand)

One of the reasons for the Blackcaps ' success in the ODIs and T20Is during the mid-2010s was the opening partnership between McCullum and Martin Guptill. The latter bashed 14676 runs in 474 innings at a strike rate of 81.27 and an average of 35.90, thanks to 383 sixes in the list.

6. MS Dhoni (India)

The former World Cup-winning Indian captain, MS Dhoni, is sixth on the list of most sixes across formats. He has featured in 526 innings in international cricket to smash 359 sixes. Dhoni, in his early years of the game, could crack the big shots in the death overs.

7. Jos Buttler (England)

The former white-ball captain of the England side, Jos Buttler, was always a fabulous power hitter with the bat in the last few overs of the innings. But once he got the chance to play these big shots around the park while opening the batting, Buttler showed his different class.

In 361 innings, the right-handed batter has notched up 358 sixes with 21032 runs at an average of 35.91.

8. Sanath Jayasuriya (Sri Lanka)

The former left-handed Sri Lankan batter, Sanath Jayasuriya, is eighth on the list of most sixes across the three formats. In 651 innings, he has drilled 352-over boundaries to crack 21032 runs at a strike rate of 94.18.

9. Eoin Morgan (England)

When the England side was going through a tough time in the 50-over and 20-over formats, Eoin Morgan, becoming the new leader of the side, changed the image of their cricket. He brought the aggressive cricket to nail 346-over boundaries to be on the list of the most sixes across the three formats.

10. AB de Villiers (South Africa)

The former wicket-keeper batter and captain of the Proteas side, AB de Villiers, is tenth in this list. In 484 innings, the batter has cracked 328-over boundaries to collect 20014 runs at an average of 48.11.
