1. Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad)
The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is not only India’s but also the world’s largest cricket stadium, with an impressive capacity of 132000 spectators. In the past, people used to call it the Motera Stadium.
Later, the authority renamed it in honor of the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. This facility boasts four dressing rooms, 11 centres, and two practice surfaces. Since its inauguration, the ground has hosted many high-profile games, including the 2023 ODI World Cup final.
2. Melbourne Cricket Ground (Melbourne)
The Melbourne Cricket Ground, known as ‘The G’ has a seating capacity of 100,024 and is one of the iconic venues around the world, providing breathtaking views of the game.

Established in 1853, the venue has hosted many incredible fixtures, including the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the 1956 Summer Olympics, and the two World Cup finals in 1992 and 2015.

5. Optus Stadium (Perth)
Optus Stadium, known as Perth Stadium, is a cricket stadium used for multi-purpose games. Completed in late 2017, its first international game was in 2018 when India took part in a Test match against Australia.
With a capacity of 61266, it’s the fifth biggest cricket stadium in the world and the third-largest in Australia. It can also go on to 65000 seats for rectangular sports.
6. Adelaide Oval (Adelaide)

7. Greenfield International Stadium (Thiruvananthapuram)
In 2014, the Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram was built by the Kariavattom Sports Company. It has a seating capacity of 55000 and was the country’s first model outdoor venue.
The company owned the ground for the first 15 years before leasing it to the Kerala Cricket Association, the governing body. During an international game against South Africa, it received criticism for some poor facilities.

One of the premier international cricket stadiums in Lucknow is the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. It’s the country’s fifth-largest venue with a seating capacity of 50000.

9, Brabourne Stadium (Mumbai)
Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium is a historic and one of the oldest venues in the country, being the home venue for Mumbai’s men’s and women’s cricket teams. It has a seating capacity of 50000 and is owned by the Cricket Club of India (CCI).
It hosted several notable games, including the 2006 Champions Trophy and India’s first T20I in 2007. The last Test was in December 2009.
10. Docklands Stadium (Melbourne)
Also named the Marvel Stadium, Docklands Stadium in Melbourne provides a roof, making it applicable to play even in rainy seasons. It has a capacity of 48003.
The venue can be converted from an oval to a rectangular ground for various sports. After the 2016/17 season of the Big Bash League (BBL), Australia started to develop this cricket stadium.
