Punjab Kings (PBKS) made a strong start to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 with five wins in the first half of the edition. Shreyas Iyer, their leader, was scoring runs with ease on various grounds of the country. Their bowling department, apart from Yuzvendra Chahal, came to the party.
A few hard defeats and washout results, including the game against Delhi Capitals, which ended in a rematch due to the cross-border tension, didn’t go in their favor. They were in front of the clash against the Capitals, but will need to face the same opposition.
Against the Rajasthan Royals, their 10-run victory was enough to gain the win and qualify for the playoffs of the tournament. Punjab Kings are currently at the third-best side of the points table with eight victories in 12 games at a net run rate of +0.389.
They hope to gain a few more victories in the next few encounters to confirm their qualification among the top two sides of the event. The franchise, in the combination of Iyer and head coach Ricky Ponting, is the end of a wait of nearly 11 years for the franchise, which became the runners-up of the event in 2014 against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Here are the three Indian players from the Punjab Kings who can make their international debut after the IPL 2025
1. Priyansh Arya
The left-handed opening batter of the Punjab Kings, Priyansh Arya, can make his international debut for the Indian side just after the end of the IPL 2025. Arya came into the scene after his famous record of six sixes in an over during the last season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL T20).
