The Gujarat Titans (GT) tried their best but still couldn’t achieve their target against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their opening game of IPL 2025. But since then, they have been clinical with their all-around performances.
Gujarat, under the leadership of Shubman Gill, dismissed the Mumbai Indians at home, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, in the defense before chasing a low score against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru after their bowlers restricted them to a low score.
Before the SRH vs GT fixture, it will be important for the 2022 champions to keep them ahead and use the winning momentum against a weak-looking Hyderabad side.

Openers- Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill
Since the last few games of the IPL 2025, the left-handed opening batter of the Gujarat Titans, Sai Sudharsan, has contributed so much in the opening position. He was a bit slow in the opening game against the Punjab Kings, which at the end became a bit tough for them.

But since the end of the opening game, he has looked in a different zone and is the second leading run-getter of the season so far with 186 runs in three innings at an average of 62 and a strike rate of 157.62, having on two half-centuries at the best score of 74 runs.
Gill has also done well in those four innings. He has nailed 85 runs in three innings at a very good strike rate. If he can continue the same aggression, then it will be beneficial for the franchise.
Middle over: Jos Buttler (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Arshad Khan, Rashid Khan
Jos Buttler was in incredible form in the last game as he thumped the fours and sixes around the park against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He is currently the third-leading run-getter of the tournament with 166 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 172.91, with the best score of an unbeaten 73.
Shah Rukh Khan played well whenever he got the chance. But the pressure is still on the middle order to fire whenever needed. Arshad Khan could be the premier all-rounder of the side.
Rashid Khan will be under a little bit of pressure for the GT side, going into the SRH vs GT fixture, as he went for 54 runs in four overs without any success. Since his treatment on the shoulder, he has struggled to find his past rhythm. Sherfane Rutherford will be the impact sub.
Bowlers: Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ishant Sharma
R Sai Kishore was excellent in the last game on a small ground and in a high-scoring contest as he went for 22 runs in four overs, along with claiming a couple of wickets. Mohammed Siraj wreaked havoc on RCB’s top order and can think of repeating the same show in the very next game.
Ishant Sharma will be hoping to improve his performance, while Prasidh Krishna continued his superb form for GT with figures of 1/26 in four overs.
